I have a firm commitment to ensuring that the content on my website, and my marketing materials are inclusive and accessible for everyone. Having undergone numerous trainings on ADA-complaint graphic design, and accessibility for social media, web design, and documents, I ensure that the latest and most assistive ADA-compliant features are included on my website, my social media posts, and any other content I create. This includes, but is not limited to: adding meta tags and descriptions to all webpages and hyperlinks, alt-text and image captions to any/all media, adding captions to videos, contrast checking, and a lot more. As I develop this website, I conduct several manual tests for accessibility, and also use assistive technology to complement these efforts. I regularly update and check the website for accessibility compliance, especially when the content on my site changes and technology advances.
As part of my continued effort to making sure my content is available to everyone, my website conforms (or exceeds) the requirements of the the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA, as well as Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act, as amended. In addition to manual work, I use technology and tools to extend the accessibility efforts I already do.
This is extremely important to me, as I spend a lot of time taking care of my father who has a disability that severely impacts his motor functions. I've learned to create digital materials that can be accessed and enjoyed by people of any ability. However, I understand that my website is not perfect, and some users still may have difficulty accessing my website, my marketing materials, or any of my content. If are having issues accessing any of these things, please email me at info@connorripple.com. Your feedback, ideas, and suggestions for improvement are very important to me.
